Travel - Toronto Weekend - TIFF

This weekend I traveled to Toronto with fellow photographer George Clarence and Dennis Radford. This trip was for the 500px Global Photowalk. That was a bust as we were not only late, they were also left without us and we were unable to catch up to them. We later regretted the trip as it was in Hamilton, ON and should have stayed in the city. Enough with the chatting lets get to some of the pictures. Video will soon follow.

Hamilton, ON

George and Dino

This time we stayed in the heart of the Downtown Toronto on John and King St. Being downtown felt better than home. Everywhere we went was something positive. The love that we received from some of the locals was unreal. From shop owners to employees and even random people on the street. From great people to even greater food, oh gosh the food was life. Poutine!!!! Nothing is was ate twice different types every day and every few hours (Thanks Dino!!!). I can't forget our wonderful host Kate who allowed us to use her place that was in the heart of the city.

PhotoWalk:MI Garden

Keeping this one short and to the point. Photowalk MI had a walk that was in the Botanical Garden in Taylor. It was to practice any lighting style with speedlights or reflectors. I choose to do a lil of both. Only this time round I played the assistance role more than the photographer. as we had those who needed help understanding their equipment.

Travel - City of Angels

Before the Camera Artist Summit mentioned in the last blog, I took a quick trip to Los Angeles to visit my brother and his wife and son. They were out there for a few months and I needed a reason to get away for a while.

While there, I spent most of the time just chilling with them. We did drive around Hollywood and walked Venice Beach. During that walk, I decided to do an impromptu photoshoot. Even though I left most of my equipment back at the hotel. To visit my brother, I was also trying to plan a shoot with some of the local models in the LA area. That was a failure, but I'm not going to give up on my goal. Back to the business at hand, With the equipment I had was one body (D7100) and one lens (18-70) and the sun as my only source of light.
